An Infrastructure Materials Company
Products & Applications
Environmental Minerals Inc. supplies a vertically integrated suite of industrial minerals serving U.S. infrastructure, concrete, and durability-critical construction. Our flagship products include ASTM C618 Class N natural pozzolan, agriculture and soil-health mineral amendments, and basalt-derived structural materials.
CEME'T-POZZ™ – ASTM C618 Class “N” Natural Pozzolan

Independent Test Report – Strength Activity (PDF)
CEME'T-POZZ™ is Environmental Minerals Inc.’s flagship Class N natural pozzolan, produced from high-purity volcanic-ash deposits in Southern California. As a naturally occurring supplementary cementitious material (SCM), it provides a low-carbon, domestic alternative to coal-derived fly ash for use in Portland-cement concrete and mortar systems.
Designed for consistent reactivity and low impurity profiles, CEME'T-POZZ™ supports typical replacement levels of 20–50%, reducing clinker demand and embodied CO2 while improving long-term performance. When blended with cement, it reacts with calcium hydroxide to form additional calcium-silicate-hydrate (C-S-H), increasing long-term compressive strength and durability while reducing permeability.
Performance Snapshot (Independent Testing)
Independent laboratory testing of ball-milled natural pozzolan reported a Strength Activity Index of 87% at 28 days (40% replacement) and 75% at 28 days (50% replacement), with corresponding 7-day indices of 75% and 62%, respectively. (See the linked test report for full context and test conditions.)
Key Performance Benefits
- ASTM C618-compliant Class “N” natural pozzolan.
- Improved long-term strength, reduced permeability, and enhanced sulfate / chloride resistance.
- Lower embodied carbon and improved ESG profile for low-carbon concrete mixes.
- Enhanced workability and reduced heat of hydration in mass concrete.
- Reliable, domestic SCM supply as fly-ash availability tightens across North America.
AGRI-POZZ™ – Soil Health & Water-Retention Mineral Amendment
AGRI-POZZ™ Product Sheet – PDF
AGRI-POZZ™ applies the same volcanic-ash mineralogy to agriculture, land management, and water-efficiency applications. Finely milled volcanic ash supports soil structure, increases water-holding capacity, and helps sustain productivity in arid and semi-arid environments.
Agricultural Benefits
- Improved soil structure, porosity, and reduced compaction.
- Enhanced water retention and improved drought resilience.
- Supports nutrient retention and helps reduce run-off.
- Compatible with regenerative, organic, and conventional programmes.
Typical application rates range from several hundred to a few thousand pounds per acre, depending on soil profile, crop type, and agronomic objectives.
Vertically Integrated Basalt Products
In addition to pozzolan, Environmental Minerals Inc. controls basaltic rock resources at the same mining complex, supporting a vertically integrated product suite extending beyond SCMs into higher-value basalt-derived materials.
Basalt Fiber Reinforced Polymer (BFRP) Rebar
Basalt FRP rebar is manufactured by drawing continuous basalt fibres and embedding them in a polymer matrix. Compared with conventional steel reinforcement:
- Approximately one-quarter the density of steel, easing handling and logistics.
- Non-corrosive and non-magnetic; well-suited for marine, coastal, and de-icing environments.
- High tensile performance and excellent fatigue resistance.
BFRP rebar is increasingly specified for bridges, marine structures, decks, retaining walls, and corrosion-critical infrastructure where extended service life matters.
Basalt Aggregates, Fibres & Insulation
- Crushed Basalt Aggregate – aggregate for concrete and asphalt mixes.
- Chopped Basalt Fibres – reinforcement fibres for shotcrete, pavements, geogrids, and stabilisation.
- Basalt Rock Wool – thermal and acoustic insulation for buildings and industrial facilities.
- Basalt Fines & Dust – cementitious integration and soil remineralisation applications.
